In a society like ours today, we are all very self conscious about the way we look due to the heavy presence of the perfect body through the media. The younger generations of our world are addicted to social media and are constantly looking at models with "perfect" bodies, which leads to younger people wanting to be more "perfect". The social media's "perfect" models have bodies that cannot be obtained just by working out or dieting but by also the medical technology that today's doctors are about to use to preform facial reconstruction surgeries.
Growing up in a rather wealthy community, I saw many young adults in either high school or in the first few years of college go under facial reconstruction surgery. Many of these kids I know and even my cousin went under ultrasonic rhinoplasty, or simply a nose job. Medical technology has come so far from what it once was, that a nose surgery has become almost normal amongst today's youth. Medical technology has now gone from saving lives as a main focus to now also changing people's facial structure. A person's body is considered to be one's canvas for art and one's appearance can be seen as artwork. The world's youth has accepted this idea and wants to make themselves "perfect" by taking advantage of the medical technology of today and make their bodies a "work of art".
Technology and art go more together than we think, as technology is now help our bodies to look the way we all desire. Technology is making these surgeries safer and I believe are very important to the world so that we as humans can obtain whatever we want safely. Our bodies are a piece of art and we are the artist with a vision to reach "perfection".Works Cited

The post initially caught my attention because you added some good pictures in to help explain what you were talking about. I think technology has definitely caused for people to turn self conscious of themselves because everyone on social media looks "perfect" because of surgery or even editing apps to make themselves look better. Great post Josh!
